With 3 children attending Birdville schools, I will always do what's best for the students. My wife, Angie, is a school teacher in the District, so I understand the daily challenges teachers in our District face. I have a vested interest in ensuring BISD remains strong and will work tirelessly for our schools.
BISD's #1 focus is to educate our children, whether that be for college/university, a trade, or work after graduation. Part of my commitment to education is the physical protection of our most precious resource, our own kids. School safety is paramount, and I will fight hard to ensure BISD not only educates your child, but protects them also.
BISD should continue to hire the best and brightest teachers for our kids, and retain those educators that excel. I commit to sound stewardship of BISD's budget and to work within its constraints to protect teacher and employee pay and benefits, while balancing the needs of the district.
I pledge to support any policy the BISD Superintendent puts in place that continues BISD's recent efforts to improve facilities. Any policy that focuses on improving school campuses, to include the potential for improvements to the FAAC, indoor practice bubbles, and athletic field upgrades, conducted in a financially conservative way with respect to the taxpayer, will receive my support.
